Have first walked, then run marathons for 25 years, and being doing longer for 4 or 5 now.

I was interested to see what running more than 26 miles felt like

I seem to manage to have fun a lot, usually early on in the race.

Nailsea 10k 🙂

SDW50 in April, GUCR in May, & RTTS in July.
What is your typical race strategy for an ultra?
Go out too fast & regret it later.
What does a typical training week look like?
What one tip would you pass onto people running an Ultra marathon for the first time?
Walk lots – everyone does it, but nobody talks about it.
Can you tell us one interesting fact about yourself?
I’ve probably done a lot more caving than running – and it shows.
I’m easy to find on the Internet due to unusual surname.
I struggle to take anything seriously.
