What is your typical race strategy for an ultra?
Steady even pace
What does a typical training week look like?
Monday : Rest
Tuesday AM 5km recovery PM 20km +swim
Wednesday AM Intervals 6*1km PM 20km + swimswim
Thursday AM Hills
Friday AM 20km +swim
Saturday Rest

Have you taken part in the Spartathlon before?
Yes
How did you get on?
2012 70km Didn’t have a clue
2013 140km should have finished wasn’t mentally strong enough
2014 130km cool weather and over confident, didn’t improve. I was a complete idiot
What tip would you pass on to those taking part for the first time?
It is harder than you think
